Our Christmas Ministry
this year was amazing friends.
After having 3 different types of events all geared at pre-registering
families in our area, here at Crossroads we were able to stand along
side 30 families this year for Christmas for food and gifts.
It was a lot of fun and a lot of work that resulted in over 20 people
from Crossroads going shopping to buy what was needed to help these
families. Clothing and shoes for their children, food on their tables
and so much more. It was awesome. Wish I had pictures I could share but
sorry, you'll have to come to church on Sunday to listen to some of the
testimonies. Pastor Bob

Each and every week many people come to us asking for help… help
with food, help with car insurance, help with rent, help with
water bills. Now granted, sometimes these are the folks we've
all met and tried to help in the past, folks who have literally
taken advantage of the church and any other ministry they could.
However, what we have learned is that these aren't the
only people out there and that needing help isn't just about the
food or an occasional water bill payment. It's about heart.
The real help that we can offer anyone begins with our
willingness to build new relationships. The effort and love
involved in becoming a friend is much different than that of a
care giver. And to be honest, most accept the help, but it's not what
they really want. They take it because they need it, but what
they really want is change and someone to help them. To come
along side them.
Over the past 5 years here at Crossroads, we have been amazingly
blessed with the opportunity to do just that… to make new
friends and to help change lives. From helping people find jobs
to working with local business and ministries and finding housing, God
has blessed so many. Families
have been helped off the street, reunited with their children,
reunited back into
society? Call it a second chance or whatever you choose to call
it. We call it living out our faith and trusting in God. Loving
what God loves most, people!
